My son is a huge fan of raspberries. Unfortunately they aren’t cheap and they tend to go bad after a day or two. I have learned a few tricks to get them to last for up to 5 days.
I wash the raspberries off with a cold water. I pull them out one by one. If they have any mold on them I throw them away.
If they are soft and overripe I will place them in a bowl for them to be used that day. The raspberries that are aren’t overly ripe I place on a paper towel to dry.
While they are drying I place a folded up paper towel in the bottom of a storage container. This will help absorb any extra moisture and help the berries keep longer.
When the berries are dry I place them in the container and store them in the fridge. I have found that just taking the 10 minutes to store them this way helps them last a little bit longer. Plus my son can just grab them whenever he wants a handful.
