Dinner, Wine, a Dozen Roses for around $20

I made a quick trip to Aldi this morning to get ready for Valentines Day. We always eat at home for Valentines Day, so I try to make it a special meal.

I bought a dozen roses ($9.99), a bottle of White Zinfandel ($2.89), ricotta and romano stuffed shells($1.99), 1 lb. Strawberries($1.29), 5 cheese Texas Toast ($1.69), Shortbread Hearts($1.69).
Total $19.54

I have a jar of Alfredo sauce at home and I will mix in a small can of tomato sauce with it when I cook it. It makes a “pink” colored sauce for on top of the stuffed shells. I will also use some of the chocolate I already have at home to make chocolate covered strawberries.

So I will be a little over $20 with the items I am using at home. Not too bad for wine, roses and dinner for 4.
