We aren’t real big cereal eaters in my family. The kind of cereal that my son would choose to eat has very little nutritional value. Bagels and eggs are one thing that we all like for breakfast. I have been making breakfast sandwiches recently. They are easy to make, portable, and I can make them for less than $.30 each. I can usually find eggs for around $1 a dozen, so about $.10 an egg. I also buy my bagels at the Entenmann’s Outlet so they are around $.10. I add whatever kind of cheese we have and some mayo. Total is less than $.30 for a healthy breakfast sandwich.
I have a little egg skillet that my mom and dad bought me for Christmas. You can get them at Amazon for around $5-7. I just add an egg and scrabble it (you can also add leftover meat or vegetables if you like). I let it cook for about 1 minute on one side and then flip it to the other side.
Then let it cook for about 1 minute on the other side. While this is cooking I toast my bagels. I prefer the Thomas Bagel Thins in Everything Flavor. I add Mayo to the Bagel when it is done toasting.
Last, I add a little bit of shredded cheese or a slice of cheese. It makes a inexpensive easy breakfast for less than $.30.
