Ever pull out your carrots only to find them limp and dry? I had that problem when I returned home from vacation. The carrots weren’t expired yet, however they were very limp. It’s an easy problem to fix, before long they will be crisp once again.

I started by going through the carrots to make sure there weren’t any bad ones. I found one or two and threw them away. Then I placed them in a small bowl and put a handful of ice cubes on top.

I filled the bowl the rest of the way up with water and left them in the bowl for 30 minutes.

At the end of 30 minutes I dumped the water and the ice. My carrots looked much better and were much more crisp. They were prefect for eating! So if you have dry, limp carrots don’t through them out. Just soak them for a bit to make them crisp again.
