Cream Cheese is just about the easiest thing to freeze. Whenever I see a sale I just stock up on it and freeze it before the use by date. To freeze cream cheese just write the date you are freezing it on the packaging. Then you can place it in the freezer for up to six months. It’s just that easy.

When you are ready to use the cream cheese just pull it out of the freezer and let it thaw. It may be a little lumpy after being frozen. You can just stir it up until it is mixed again. Because of the consistency it is best to use the frozen cream cheese in dishes that will be baked or cooked. I mostly use cream cheese in my crockpot reuben sandwiches. You can’t even tell the cream cheese has been frozen.

So next time you see a sale on cream cheese you can stock up and freeze it.
